You are warmly invited to SCREAMERS, a performance night curated by anorak studio resident Danilo Andrés, in collaboration with Agata Siniarska.
SCREAMERS is the first event by BRUTA, a project initiated by choreographer Danilo Andrés, which functions as a curatorial platform for choreographers and dance practitioners whose main tools of work are extreme vocals, screaming, and throat singing. BRUTA is interested in the collision of experimental sound, noise, metal, punk, and body-based practices. It moves on a spectrum between the monstrosity of the body and its spiritual healing.

Flora Détraz is a dancer, choreographer, and vocalist. After training in classical dance and studying modern literature, she joined the training program at the National Choreographic Center of Rillieux-la-Pape, under the direction of Maguy Marin. She then joined the Forum Dança choreographic research cycle in Lisbon. Flora is particularly interested in the relationship between voice and movement to reveal irrational, troubled, and deviant bodies that question the norm. Influenced by expressionist and surrealist movements and working from an intersectional feminist perspective, she explores the intimate, the invisible, and transformation.
Danilo Andrés is a choreographer, visual artist, and vocalist based in Berlin. Their work in visual, sonic, and performance art is interrelated, incorporating multiple forms of media such as sculptural headpieces, costumes, and video. Since 2024, Danilo has been teaching the class “Practices of Animation of the Matter” at Tanzquartier Vienna and was awarded the Pina Bausch Fellowship 2024, supported by Brut Vienna. They create images, scenes, and soundscapes with multiple bodies and voices, influenced by black magic and animist rituals, as if their body were possessed by supernatural beings and spirits, while performing secret songs and dances. In doing so, they dissolve the boundaries between the human and the non-human.
rat milk & Agata (a.k.a. TATARI) have been playing together for over a year, sharing their fascination for noise music, garbage, and other monstrosities.
